Girlguiding Ulster is now offering A Safe Space Level 3 face-to-face training session. It is for adults aged 18+.
Level 3 is for at least one leader per unit (leader, assistant leader, leader in training), mentors, advisers, coordinators (except GO coordinators), licence holders on residential, trainers, tutors, anyone leading a team of adults, and those doing level 4.
There must be a Level 3 A Safe Space holder at every unit meeting. In order to give units maximum flexibility we strongly recommend that all leaders, assistant leaders and leaders in training hold Level 3, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
This training is being delivered in person in one session, approximately 3 hours long with a short comfort/refreshment break during the session.
It is a pre-requisite that you complete levels 1 & 2 (these can be completed by e-learning) before attending this training so that your GO record is complete.

Completion of A Safe Space is valid for three years. If you need to renew your A Safe Space Level 3 please only sign up to this training session if the session is taking place within your renewal window. Your renewal window opens 120 days before you’re A Safe Space level expires. If you complete a session before the window opens, then your attendance will not be recognised and you will need to complete this again. You can check the expiry dates and renewal windows on the learning dashboard on the learning platform.
